Life Has Two Entries with One Destination
“Sir, do you believe we truly have control over our lives?” Meera asked, sighing.
Arjun chuckled. “Ah, life is a journey, my dear. It has two entries—birth and death—but what lies in between is entirely in our hands.”
Meera looked up, intrigued. “But how can we make sense of it all? Sometimes, it feels like nothing is in my control.”
Arjun leaned back, gazing at the sky. “Let me tell you a story. When I was young, I had two friends—Amit and Rohan. Both were born in the same village, went to the same school, and had the same opportunities. But their choices led them on different paths.”
“Amit feared failure, so he never took risks. He lived safely but regretted not chasing his dreams. Rohan, on the other hand, embraced challenges, took chances, and even when he failed, he got back up. In the end, both reached the same destination—an old age filled with memories. But Amit’s memories were filled with ‘what-ifs,’ while Rohan’s were filled with ‘I lived.’”
Meera’s eyes widened. “So, you’re saying that while we can’t change our ultimate destination, we can shape the journey?”
Arjun nodded. “Exactly! Life is like a blank canvas; we choose how to paint it. Some let fear dictate their strokes, while others embrace every color fearlessly.”
Meera smiled for the first time that day. The burden on her shoulders felt lighter. She realized that she had the power to shape her path, to embrace both joy and challenges, and to fill her journey with meaning.

As the sun began to set, she stood up, filled with a renewed sense of purpose. “Thank you, Sir. From today, I will make my journey worth remembering.”
Arjun smiled. “That’s the spirit, child. Live so that when you reach the destination, you have no regrets—only a heart full of stories.”
And with that, Meera walked away, ready to embrace life with open arms, knowing that while she had no control over the beginning or the end, the in-between was hers to create.
