The Power of Thought

In a peaceful village surrounded by rolling hills, there lived a young man named Arjun. Though he was strong and capable, he often doubted himself. “No matter what I do, I’ll never be successful,” he would sigh.
One day, an elderly sage arrived in the village. Seeing Arjun’s troubled expression, he asked, “Why do you look so defeated, young man?”
Arjun replied, “I try my best, but I always fail. I was not meant for greatness.”
The sage handed him a clay cup filled with water and said, “Hold this tightly and walk with me.”
Curious, Arjun followed the sage as they walked through the village. With each step, the water inside the cup trembled, and some spilled onto the ground. When they reached the riverbank, the sage asked, “What do you notice?”
Arjun looked at the half-empty cup and said, “The more I worried about spilling it, the more water I lost.”
The sage nodded. “Your mind is like this cup. If you fill it with doubt, you will only lose your potential. But if you fill it with belief, you will find your strength.”
Arjun stood silently, reflecting on the lesson. From that day forward, he changed his thinking. Each morning, he told himself, “I am strong. I am capable.” Over time, his confidence grew, and with it, his success.
Years later, as a wise teacher, he passed on the same lesson:
“Your mind shapes your reality. What you think, you become.”
